About Me
I have been an executive in the Financial Services industry for over 25 years, specializing in tax advantaged private alternative real estate investments. I was the 1031 Exchange Director at AEI Capital, where I -pioneered one of the first securitized 1031 exchange products in the United States. I was Vice President of Private Capital at Inland Securities where I educated financial professionals and their clients on tax deferral strategies. I am a national expert on all aspects of IRC section 1031 and Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) investment products. I also have extensive experience in the Qualified Opportunity Zone investment space. I was a founding member of TICA (now known as ADISA) and have raised over $600mm in capital for securitized tax advantaged real estate investments.
I became a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in 2010 and have guided investors in various wealth management strategies as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch and Alliance Bernstein. In 2017, I became an independent RIA focusing on providing real estate tax solutions for my clients. I became the Director of Alternative Real Estate for Apollon Wealth Management in 2019 and in that role I built out an Alternative Real Estate Platform for the firm. I conducted all due diligence for these tax advantaged investments and made recommendations to the Investment Committee on products to be approved to provide to all Apollon advisors. In January of 2025, I became the Director of Alternative Real Estate for Terra Wealth, providing the same due diligence advice to Terra and their advisors.

Due Diligence
Provide expert alternative real estate due diligence to independent RIA firms. These services include sponsor level due diligence reports as well as individual fund due diligence reports. As a 30 year veteran in this tax advantaged real estate space, I have a deep knowledge of all of the firms offering DST and Qualified Opportunity Zone investments. On a fund level, I review all aspects of the portfolio including underwriting, sponsor fees, appraisals, market studies, fund structure documents and a complete private placement memorandum review.

These tax advantaged investment products are complex and have unique characteristics that investors need to understand.
